A new world reigns, demanding
its dictates to my soul;
beating within my chest, wildly
I harken back to the days of old
Joy, far from my enemies, wanders
filling my heart asunder;
the sunshine of yesteryear overflows,
with folk and fiddle thunder
Another time, left me behind
lost beyond the Milky Way, divine;
where the tireless taunts of evil's desire;
stings my cheeks, red as fire
One day, I'll return and rest,
where my ancestor's spirits reside;
golden fields and sea foam crests,
beckon and call, lest my soul ever forgets
