Upon my walk today,
I spied an odd symbol displayed;
heated and formed by the might of the sun
Heart-shaped chewing gum~
molded, as from an ironing pin
or play-dough toy, from a child's playpen
One lone shoe print stamped within;
a sign from heaven? Or the mark
of an inattentive postmark
Proudly displayed
for all the world to see;
though none seemed to recognize, but me
